Dashboard

Once you log in to your account, you will have to select the organization and a project within the selected organization, in order to be redirected to the VP dashboard. The main sections on the VP Player’s dashboard are:

  • Left navigation bar
  • Top navigation bar
  • Main view

Left navigation bar

The left navigation bar represents the main menu through which you can navigate to the main sections of VP Player. On the left navigation bar you will find Projects, Dashboard, Videos, Livestream, Players, Ad Schedules, Analytics, Security, and Properties.

Each menu item represents the main sections which contain the features of the VP Player. Projects list enables you to see which project is currently active and to switch between projects (to the ones you have access to) easily.

  • Dashboard shows you a summary of the latest videos, analytics, and shortcuts to different routes.

  • Videos section allows you to manage video content and create playlists.

  • Livestream section enables you to create, manage and stream live stream content through Live Channels and Live Videos.

  • Players section allows you to create and fully customize players used to deliver content.

  • Ad Schedules enable you to monetize the content through feature-rich dynamic ad scheduling.

  • Analytics section allows you to monitor real-time analytics or custom reports on content.

  • Security section enables you to generate API Keys and use VP as part of a different platform such as one dedicated to CMS.

  • Properties section allows the creation of flags, and geoblocking rules used in content management.

Top navigation bar

The top navigation bar allows you to access the profile menu, which contains different options based on the user’s role, including Profile, Project settings, Organization Settings, Switch Organization, and Logout.

  • The Profile allows the user to see their personal information such as name, profile picture, birthday, number etc., and update it.

  • Project Settings contains all the settings on the project level such as users and webhooks.

  • Organization Settings contains the settings related to the organization level, such as users, roles, and notifications.

  • Switch Organization option allows you to switch between organizations in which you have access to.

Main View

The main view changes based on the section which is currently active but by default, the dashboard view is shown with a summary of videos, usage history of the data, and analytics and shortcuts.
