Release Notes for Client 2.0.16​

  • Feature: Re-streaming Live Videos

    • VP is excited to introduce a new feature that allows users to share their livestreams across multiple platforms effortlessly by connecting the Stream URL & Key from other platforms with VP.

  • Feature: Slack Notifications for Live Videos and Channels

    • We are pleased to announce a new feature that sends Slack notifications for each live video and live channel event. Notifications for live channels include when the channel is processing, offline (after the live stream is stopped), or having issues during processing. For live videos, notifications are sent when the video is live, having problems (such as error messages or problem cases), or stopped intentionally. VP users can stay informed about their livestreams in real-time with Slack notifications!

  • Feature: Automated Problem Case Cover for Live Videos

    • VP now automatically manages the Problem Case Cover for live videos, reducing the need for manual monitoring. The Problem Case Cover will automatically appear when there is a processing problem, and the live video will resume once the issue is resolved. If the cover is manually set, it will remain until the user switches it back.

Fixes​

  • FIX: Corrected display of "Live video was stopped/paused" message when switching from case cover to live channel.
  • FIX: Resolved issue with non-functional "Stop without saving" feature during interrupted status.
  • FIX: Addressed random disabling of webhooks.
  • FIX: Rectified issue where live video appears live after being stopped until page refresh.
  • FIX: Fixed error preventing case cover change during livestream with "channel not ready" message.
  • FIX: Adjusted blob path returned from add video thumbnail endpoint.
  • FIX: Ensured proper validation of podcast configuration.

Video Player Updates​

  • FIX: Addressed missing eventName value in "20s-view" event.
  • FIX: Fixed autoplay functionality on mobile full-screen mode.
  • FIX: Resolved issue with video continuing playback after closing related content.

Audio Player Updates​

  • FIX: Enabled switching between audio tracks on embedded podcasts.
