Release 2.0.29

The new release will include the upgrades, features, and issue fixes listed below:

  • Feature: Whitelisting Domains for Embedded Videos and Script Loading

    • A new security feature in VP Player admin that allows the configuration of Whitelisted Domains for embedding videos and loading scripts. A list of approved domain prefixes can be defined, ensuring that only these trusted domains can display public videos and load the necessary scripts.

  • Update: Webhooks Redesign

    • The webhooks interface has been redesigned for a more intuitive user experience, making it easier to create and manage webhooks for the project.

  • Update: Video Assets Endpoint Returns 404 for Live Videos

    • The video assets endpoint will return a “Not Found” status for live videos.

  • Update: Prevent Fallback from Being Recorded in DVR

    • The fallback screen will no longer be recorded in the DVR. This behavior is not enabled by default and must be configured separately for each project.

  • Update: Add Option to Filter Audios by Author

    • VP Player users are now able to filter audios by author.

Video Player​

  • Update: Display Subtitle Indicator When Using Subtitle-Sound Inversion
    • When using the subtitle-sound inversion feature, the player will now display the source of the subtitles (e.g., AI-generated) to provide users with clearer context.

Audio Player​

  • Feature: Analytics from Apple Podcasts
    • VP Player now integrates with external analytics from Apple Podcasts, allowing admins to view analytics directly on each audio’s analytics page.
