The new release will include the upgrades, features, and issue fixes listed below:

  • Feature: Subtitle - sound inversion

    • When a video autoplays on mute, subtitles automatically appear, allowing viewers to read the spoken content. Subtitles disappear once the video is unmuted and remain hidden unless manually re-enabled in the player settings. This feature is enabled in the advanced settings in the player customization section in the admin.
    • Note: This feature is supported in player version v2.2.3 and upwards.

  • Feature: Backup playlist option

    • Users can select a backup playlist to automatically play when the primary playlist runs out of videos or other video related issues arise. A backup playlist can be selected for any existing playlist.

  • Feature: Option To Activate All Auto-Generated Subtitles

    • If the encoding template selected for a project supports the auto-generation of subtitles, users can activate all upcoming subtitles by checking this mark in Project Settings, as opposed to activating them manually.

  • Feature: Rewind and forward buttons with localizations added to player

  • Update: Audio only/video mode Icons on player control bar

    • The player control bar now features a modern design for the audio-only and video mode icons. These appear as long as the ‘Audio only’ option is enabled on the player configuration in admin.
