Release 2.0.39

March, 2026

The new release will include the upgrades, features, and issue fixes listed below:

  • Feature: AI Auto-Chaptering

    • The platform can now automatically generate chapters for a video based on its content, saving editors significant time on longer recordings.
  • Feature: AI-Generated Title, Description, and Tags

    • Video metadata including the title, description, and tags can now be generated automatically using AI, streamlining the publishing workflow.
  • Feature: Hybrid Video and Banner Ad Waterfall

    • A new ad waterfall strategy combines video and banner ad formats, improving fill rates by falling back across ad types when inventory is unavailable.
  • Feature: Flag-Based Filtering for Recommendation Playlists

    • Recommendation playlists can now be filtered by content flags, giving you more precise control over what is recommended to viewers.
  • Feature: Custom Ad Cue Points

    • You can now define custom cue points to override the algorithmically determined ad break positions, giving full control over mid-roll placement.
  • Feature: Audio Ads Configuration

    • Audio ad settings can now be configured directly in Admin, laying the groundwork for audio ad delivery in the audio player.
  • Feature: Mobile Designs

    • Dedicated mobile layouts have been introduced for Live Videos, Live Channels, Video Players, Audio Players, Vertical Players, and Outstream Players.

Video Player · v2.4.0

  • Feature: Midroll Snapback

    • When a viewer seeks past an unplayed midroll ad break, the player automatically jumps back to the ad, plays it, and then returns the viewer to their intended position. This ensures ad contracts are honoured without permanently disrupting the viewing experience.
  • FIX: Improved mobile control layout and seekbar spacing.

  • UPGRADE: Upgraded build tooling to target modern ES module browsers for better performance and smaller bundle sizes.

  • FIX: Fixed double-tap incorrectly registering as a button click.

  • UPDATE: Legacy Browser Support Dropped

    • Internet Explorer (all versions), Chrome < 61, Firefox < 60, Safari (macOS) < 11, iOS Safari < 11, and legacy Edge (EdgeHTML 12–15) are no longer supported.
