The new release will include the upgrades, features, and issue fixes listed below:

  • Feature: Chapter Start/End Time Mode

    • When defining chapters for videos and audio, you can now choose whether a chapter's timestamp marks its start or its end, giving you more precise control over how chapter cues are interpreted.

  • Feature: Folder Path in Video Editing and Listings

    • The video edit screen now shows the folder breadcrumb, and video lists display the parent folder, so you always know where a video lives.

  • Update: Channel Pinning and Ordering

    • Channel pinning and ordering is now disabled for projects with more than 50 channels to keep the channels page fast for large projects.

  • Feature: Vertical Player Logo

    • You can now add a custom logo to the vertical player from the player settings.

  • Feature: Vertical Player Relative Publish Date

    • The vertical player can now display a relative publish date (such as "2 days ago"), with localisation support.

  • Feature: Geo-Blocking Access Check

    • A new endpoint lets you check whether a viewer's IP address is allowed to play a video based on its geo-blocking rule, returning allowed when the video has no rule attached.

  • Update: Playlist Videos API

    • Playlist video responses are now enriched with the share URL, author, and publish date.

  • Update: "Swipe for More" Localisation

    • The vertical player's swipe navigation hint text can now be localised.

  • FIX: After successfully adding a user, you are now redirected to the Project Users page.

  • FIX: Auto-generated chapters are now returned in the correct order.

Video Player · v2.6.0​

  • Update: Geo-Blocking Handling
    • The player now handles geo-restricted content more gracefully, prioritising the geo-restriction rule over the multistream setup and handling blocked responses cleanly.

Vertical Player · v1.6.0​

  • Feature: MP4 Adaptive Quality

    • The vertical player now supports dynamic MP4 quality selection with bandwidth estimation, choosing the best quality for the viewer's connection.

  • Update: Fullscreen Page-Fill Mode

    • Fullscreen now includes a page-fill view mode, with layout refinements such as showing the description alongside the video on wider screens.

  • Update: Ad Play Button on Desktop

    • A play button is now available for ads on desktop.

  • Update: Auto-Hide Overlay

    • The overlay no longer hides while the video is paused.

  • Update: Instagram Share Sheet

    • The Instagram share sheet has been redesigned.

  • FIX: The player no longer advances to the next video while the viewer is actively interacting with it.

  • FIX: Scrolling to the next video no longer breaks when autostart is disabled.

  • FIX: Fixed a layout and scrolling glitch on Safari for macOS when updating playback progress.
